Sub: Reimbursement of Medical Claims of serving and retired Railway employees – Simplification of procedure – requested.
Ref: (i) NFIR’s PNM Item No.41/2016.
(ii) NFIR’s letter No.I/12/Part V dated 09-05-2016.
The agenda Item No.41/2016 came up for discussions in the NFIR’s PNM meeting held with the Railway Board on 22/23-12-2016 when official side explained that a new simplified procedure is being drafted and it will be finalized shortly in consultation with the Federation. Although a period of more than three months has passed, the procedure/proforma have not been shared with the Federation.
NFIR, therefore, requests the Railway Board to make available the draft procedure along with the proforma relating to reimbursement of medical expenses incurred by the serving and retired Railway employees at an early date so that the same could be examined by the Federation for finalization.

sir, I am retired employe from MES. my wife is suffarin from utries problom, my family docto advised surjjary immediayely (1.4.17) accordingly took her CGHS welness center speshalist also advised for immediate surjory. referral letter issued to a private hospital MS RAMAIAH MEMORIAL HOSPITA ,Bangalore went to hospital with refaral letyer to hospital after registration ( Rs 135/-paid cosultation fee) after investigation & seeing refaral letter they have not shown interest patient.. advised few tests at cghs rates that also done by paying cash nearly 4000/-. test results took 3 days then went opd doctor by paying consultation fee of rs 135/-. she said contact same doctor who was examined first time. that doctor will vosit only once in a week accordingly again went to the doctor after 4 days. not showen intetest nor advised treatment. being group ‘D’ emplyee could not fight with hopital authoritoes. finaly came know they will not treat cghs retired petionts becouse cghs raye is only 17000/- for this surjory
now again went to vittal mallya hospital Bangalore i am facing same problom. iis there any sallusion to get surjary in privat approved hospital please guid and save my wife. i am nt in possion to spend 50000/- according to their estimate.no use of going to approved hospital.
