Dear Sir,
Sub:Increasing Promotion Quota percentage for Technician III Posts in Diesel/Electric Loco/EMU Sheds on Indian Railways – reg.
Ref: (i) NFIR’s PNM item No.5/2014
(ii)Railway Board’s letter No.E(NG)I-2014/PM7/1 dated 18-12-2015
(iii) NFIR’s letter No.II/2/Part VII dated 28/12/2015
(iv) Corrigendum issued by Railway Board vide letter No.E(NG)I-2014/PM7/1 dated 14-01-2016 (ACS No.231) IREM Vol-I (first Re-Print Edition 2009.)
with reference to the Corrigendum issued by the Railway Board vide dated 14/01/2016 on the above subject, it is once again reminded that the subject being NFIR/PNM item wherein the Federation has conveyed its objection to the instructions issued under letter dated 18-12-2015 contending that the ratio of DR,LDCE & Promotion Quotas should be 25%, 25% and 50% respectively as is in vogue in other Technical Categories. the Federation also urged upon the Railway Board to arrange to convene a meeting with the CRB as we are very much tired of fruitless discussions at the lower level.
It is once again requested to see that the special meeting with CRB is convened very soon to discuss and thrash out the issue. Incidentally, it is mentioned that the staff of Technical categories in Diesel,Electric Loco Shed/EMU Loco sheds are extremely disappointed over the negative attitude of the Railway Board, causing harm to their career.
Yours faithfully,
Sd/-
